Board Competitions 

The latest 'Major' winners are Mick Turner in the Coates Cup, well done Mick a solid 39 stableford points and victory is yours; 

The Captain's Salvers was played last Saturday with Trevor & Killian Ryan taking the spoils with 45 points off 3/4 handicap, well played banditos...I mean fellas!; 

And in the Shepperson Trophy (Club Championship) Martin Scothern was victorious with a 76 in the morning round and another 76 in the afternoon giving a total of 152. This tied with Malcolm Brown 77 / 75 which meant a play-off. Martin was victorious on the 3rd extra hole, holing from just off the green for a birdie. Great job guys and Scothy gets his name on that board again!

Open Competitions 

The Summer Am-Am lived up to its name with some lovely sunny spells and a fantastic time was had by all...well at least Simon Chester (Burghley Park), Greg Shelton (Burghley Park), Graham McNaughton (Rutland Water) and Alex Carter (Greetham Valley) who topped the list with a great score of 133. Members and visitors alike commented on how good the course played and the friendly service they received at Coxmoor Golf Club. 

The Ladies Open Am-Am went well on Monday with glorious sunshine and Di Horsley, Louise Manning, Margaret Wright and Penny Smith from Branston Golf Club coming out on top with a score of 86 points, great job ladies. We hope to see you all again real soon. It's Captain's Weekend coming up with a FBBBS on Saturday and an Am Am on Sunday. Come and join in the fun with lots of things going on throughout the weekend. There is a BBQ on both days so no snacking before! Anybody teeing off after 12.30 on the Saturday will need to eat prior to play as catering have to prepare for the evening function.
