Shepperson Trophy 

It's the Club Championship this Sunday 17th July. The entry list is in the men's foyer, please put your name down or contact the pro shop if you wish to enter. It's a 36 hole event with gross and nett prizes. Tee times will start from 8.00am and 1.00pm approx. 

Congratulations go Roger Wakefield and Mick Gwynn, Roger's guest from Rufford Park, on winning the Gents Invitation Day last Sunday with a great score of 44 points, in tricky conditions. And they need to thank Angela Robinson for breaking her busy schedule to come and mark their card for them! 

We didn't get a winner on the Saturday Invitation Day as it was a washout! It has been rearranged for Saturday 13th August. We will be using the same start sheet so please let us know by the weekend whether you are available to play or not. There will be some gaps so anybody else wanting to slot in can give us a call. 

Congratulation also to 'major' winner Louise Wilding on winning the Gregory Victory Cup Tuesday with a nett 70, hope those tips helped to get your name in lights!

We are well into the golfing season now and do you really know how far you carry each club in your golf bag? Book an hour 'gapping session' on the GC2 launch monitor and find out your average carry for every club in your bag. One of the professionals will guide you through it and help to bring those scores tumbling down. 


 

Staff news Richard Dunsby has been offered a coaching role in Dubai so will be leaving us early August, I'm sure you will all join, in wishing him all the best in his exciting new venture, we will be sorry to see him go.
